Formulación de la Planificación Estratégica de la Facultad de Informática y Electrónica de la Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo periodo 2015-2020

Abstract

This research aims to develop the strategic planning for the faculty of computer science and electronics from polytechnic school of Chimborazo period 2015-2020, by means of a systematic process in order to ensure the achievement of academic excellence, through the mission and vision of the faculty. The research was based both, theoretically and legally, concomitant to this process, it was developed by means of the qualitative method, by using research tools such as surveys to students, teaching personnel and administrative staff, as well as an interview to the dean of the Faculty. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the results, both SWOT matrix, as the strategic pillars, were developed analytically by identifying the strategic perspectives, from which the objectives and strategic projects are derived, and the, to conclude this research with goals, indicators and responsible ones for the proper monitoring. The development of the strategic planning is the connection that links all the entities involved, which promotes a Planning Culture into the Faculty. It should emphasized that the strategic planning is a document created under a premise of flexibility and adaptability to both, internal and external environment, for this reason the degree of liability, independence and creativity provided to people in charge of this dependence, will enable a strategic direction for the strengthening of the mission and fulfilment of the vision of the Faculty.
