Incidencia de la fiesta de la fruta y de las flores en el desarrollo turístico del cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua

Abstract

The present investigation poses to analyze the planning structure and the linking of the tourist activity in the development and evolution through the time of Fiesta de la Fruta y de las Flores celebrated in Ambato, a canton from Tungurahua province; through the collection of information from secondary sources of documents that are stored in the archives of the Ministry of Tourism, the Provincial Government of Tungurahua, the Municipal Government of the Ambato Canton and the Standing Committee of the Party; the systematization of the information allowed knowing the sectors and actors involved in the development of the event, allowing to determine 78 economic indicators grouped in 22 variables to evaluate the incidence of the festivity in the development of the canton, the results obtained through the application of surveys were subjected to statistical analysis: for quantitative variables the Friedman test, was applied and for qualitative variables the Chi square test, for tourist demand and supply: national and international tourists, lodging service, food service, transport and producers of goods, products and artisanal services, which allowed obtaining real information on the dynamization of the local economy related to the events and programs that take place in the canton because of the celebration; 2 strategies were established with a total of 6 projects with an investment of $ 409,900 that followed the guidelines set by SENPLADES and the projects followed the logical framework format.
