Plan de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial, para la fiesta del carnaval de Guaranda, provincia de Bolívar

Abstract

This research proposes: designing the plan to safeguard intangible cultural heritage for carnival festival of Guaranda, canton Guaranda, Bolívar province, to protect the intangible cultural richness of this festivity, as a contribution to the development of local cultural tourism. Starting with the validation of registration of the heritage of manifestation which it was previously performed in the pre professional practices II, titled “Museographic proposal of the Guaranda carnival festivity, for the tourist use in the San Jacinto hill of Guaranda canton; Bolívar province” for the period March to August 2015. In addition, the non-material registry was supplemented, with the utilization of fiches proposed byte INPC, by achieving to identify 36 manifestations, later for the diagnostic stage a matrix was elaborated with aspects such as: intergenerational transmission and validity, representativeness community and/or collective recognition, symbolic importance and social. Consequently, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) matrix was designed to identify critical crux, and key factors of success, these aspects served to prepare the safeguard plan that were based on the formulation of strategic objectives, which were- embodied, in 3 programs and 10 projects which will allow its application to contribute the effective safeguard of PCI. The research paper concluded the safeguard plan will let to strengthen the cultural identity of the inhabitants of this province generating awareness about preserving the lifestyles, customs, traditions of people in the carnival festivity, and that the don`t disappear with the passage of time, if not, that they endure from generation after generation, so this research and the plan is designed in function to the contribution of solutions for critical nodes and the potentialization of the key factors of success both internal and external.
