Propuesta de un sistema de señalética turística para el cantón Francisco de Orellana, provincia de Orellana

Abstract

This research proposes a tourist signposting system for the Francisco de Orellana village, Orellana province; a tourist diagnosis was performed to determine the current state of the village, identifying population from various cities of Ecuador with nationalities such as: Kichwa, shuar and waorani, in addition 24 natural and cultural resources were listed with tourism potential of which 15 are within the natural category and 9 belong to cultural sites. By the characteristic of the tourist attractions 16 are category II, 6 are category III and one category IV. Signaling needs were determined through field trips and use of data sheets allowing the classification by the types of signs, also different attractions for preparation of maps were geolocated. In addition sings for each type of signaling taking into account the measure, color, and technical standards used for this process were designed. Interpretative signs according to the highest score obtained by applying index landscape potential were also designed. Finally, the method UPA (Unit Price Analysis) was used to determine the unit cost of each of the sing and thus, establish the project cot for implementation and maintenance. It is concluded that the implementation of this proposal is feasible and viable because it respects the technical standards of the signaling manual; likewise the use of natural materials is proposed to avoid the visual impact on the routers, without neglecting the maintenance of each one of the signposts.
