Abstract

We performed the restructuring and implementation of a program assisted by computer "SISmac" Maintenance for Auto Shop MTOP-B, in order to extend the life of the vehicle fleet, reducing breakdowns. We evaluated the current situation of the institution through documented research field, with the purpose of establishing the methods, standards and rules that are applied in the workshop to continuously improve. At the stage of restructuring and implementing a program was designed autonomous maintenance to sort areas and units prior to the design of the planned maintenance program supported by the records of the units, the Head of Workshop and the manufacturer's recommendations., Just how was work requirements to which it is exposed vehicle fleet to deliver the activities, operations and frequencies that make up the program. It has also issued a proposed safety and environmental care taking into account the risks to which workers are exposed and the damage caused by waste from the maintenance that is done to the vehicle fleet. As results yielded a makeover at the facility, a change of mentality in workers and high availability of the vehicle fleet following the new guidelines on maintenance management, controlling better the warehouse of spare parts, tools, care staff and the environment.
