Diseño de la planta de tratamiento para aguas residuales de la lavandería y tintorería Jav - Tex del Cantón Pelileo

Abstract

A wastewater treatment plant was designed for the JAV - TEX laundry and dyeing plant in the Pelileo canton, for water from the washing and dyeing processes. Using the experimental method, we started with the recognition of the processes developed in the plant, and then made a diagnosis, where samples and data were taken, for this we needed containers, thermometer and stopwatch, with the deductive method we started from the design and ended by describing each stage of treatment. When characterizing the wastewater from the JAV-TEX Laundry and Dry Cleaning stages, the results were 1200 mg/L of Chemical Oxygen Demand, 703 mg/L of Biochemical Oxygen Demand, 2 ml/L of Sediment Solids, 224 of Suspended Solids, and 244 Nephelometric Unit, 244 Nephelometric Turbidity Unit, 0.030 mg/L Phenols, 1.50 mg/L Surfactants, which were analyzed and treated in order to reduce contamination, because they do not comply with the discharge limits established in the Unified Text of Environmental Legislation. It is concluded that the analyzed parameters allowed to determine the components of the treatment plant, which will consist of: grids, homogenizing tank, paddle agitator, settling tank, to have an effluent that meets the parameters according to the limits established by current regulations. I recommend that the company take into account the environmental studies that have been carried out and implement the treatment plant in order to reduce the contamination that is being generated, and then carry out frequent analyses to verify that the treatment is working properly.
