Registro fotográfico de las principales manifestaciones culturales de Chimborazo aplicados a un catálogo digital.

Abstract

The main aim of this research is the development of a photographic registration about the main cultural demonstrations of Chimborazo province applied in a digital catalog, in order to report and promote the population of Chimborazo and people from different places, about the cultural richness of the province, especially in its gastronomy, festivities, art and clothing that identifies it. After analyzing the problems in the knowledge of cultural demonstrations, it was determined that there was a lack of information, so data collection was carried out through the representatives of each canton, the information collected was very useful in the documentation of data and photographs that were used and applied in the catalog. Bruce Archer's methodology, divided into 3 phases, was used to create the catalog; a documentary and ethnographic research method was used to generate a single material. The photographs that were provided by the different tourism units of each canton and by the prefecture of Chimborazo were registered by means of cards, and were later used in the digital catalog in the division of each section of festivities, gastronomy, art and clothing. It was decided to divide the ten cantons with photographs according to the slogan of each canton and figures with colors, based on the chromatic that keeps each shield belonging to the cantons. When validating the proposal,100% acceptance was obtained, concluding that the proposal will help the socio-cultural developmentand knowledge for the citizenship, also an important contribution to the research group KARAY creative laboratory from the Graphic Design Career of the Faculty of Informatics and Electronics at the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo.
