Catálogo fotográfico para concientizar sobre la desigualdad y vulnerabilidad social y laboral de Latacunga.

Abstract

The social groups have been harmed by the lack of common rights such as labor and educational opportunities, which has affected even the individual integrity depending on the environment in which people develop their daily activities. Therefore, we proposed as an alternative the creation of a photographic catalog of the most exposed groups and labor and social discrimination, through the editorial design and compositional techniques of documentary photography to generate interest in the social reality of the Economically Active People (EAP) from Latacunga. The research was carried out using different technical terms that provide enough information to understand the photograph and the background references that express the purpose of photography. For the research, we considered accounts, statistics, news media and official sources of the Ecuadorian State related to the events and problems described above, and which confirm the instability in groups of the area. We applied Bruce Archer's method to examine the existing problems and, through the evaluation of data, strengthen the research with a survey of natural and neighboring people in the geographic situation. This allowed to emphasize even more in the interpretation of analysis to consolidate the preamble of the project and to inspect in the field area the characters and situations that are exposed with features and technical details in the photograph to raise awareness in the Economically Active Population (EAP) of the city. Finally, we were able to take and elaborate a considerable number of photographs, with their respective cards and details, for the elaboration and placement in the catalog. The result of making the photographic catalog and exposing these causes and stories influences the awareness of inequality and social discrimination in order to promote rights and opportunities for all people, regardless of their stratum, origin, ethnicity and others.
