El Proceso de Educación Ambiental a través del Calendario Agrofestivo Andino como Estrategia de Respeto a los Saberes y Conocimientos Ancestrales en la Comunidad de Apatug San Pablo.

Abstract

An "Agrofestive Calendar" was elaborated with the active participation of the Apatug San Pablo Community, Santa Rosa Parish, Canton Ambato. In this research, the qualitative method was applied to generate spaces for the transmission of knowledge whose objective is to contribute to the process of Environmental Education as a strategy of respect for ancestral knowledge and wisdom, taking into account the dialogue of knowledge between the Andean vision and the modern western vision, which allowed: participation, exchange of experiences and intergenerational workshops, agricultural practices, revaluation of the Andean landscape, soils and seeds. We obtained wild varieties, 8 varieties of native potatoes, 12 colors of beans, 18 colors of corn, Mazahua geese. We used human resources, community support equipment, paper materials, computer, camera, pre-established formats and others. The result was the Andean agro-festive calendar, which will serve as a training tool for children, youth, adults, parents, teachers, technicians, in the recovery of Andean farms. It is concluded that the Andean agro-festive calendar promotes spaces for collective reflection, which contributes to environmental education and ecological development in the area, allowing the implementation of new alternatives related to the subject. It is recommended to support these themes in other communities and recognize the intangible value of local knowledge for the country, thus raising awareness of the care of the Pacha Mama (Mother Nature), with ecological justice, fulfilling the exercise of the right to nature as stated in the 2008 constitution.
