Abstract

The objective of the present research work was to elaborate and propose the strategic plan for the Institute of Postgraduate and Continuing Education of the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo for the period 2022-2026 in order to improve the administrative management of the Institute. Within the investigation, the methodology was applied with a mixed approach, a qualitative approach due to an interview with the IPEC director, and a quantitative because surveys were applied to both the institute's actors and the teachers of the training programs, and a postgraduate degree offered by IPEC. The research design is a field because the necessary information is obtained through interviews and surveys applied in the institute. Regarding the level of research, we can mention the descriptive level because the current situation of IPEC is described, the correlational level since a dependent variable and an independent variable is used in the research, which are related, and the explanatory level because Proposals are made to solve the problem that is determined in the investigation. The technique to obtain the information was an interview with the director of IPEC and surveys plied to both the actors and the teachers of the institute. The results, it was possible to show that it is necessary to socialize the organizational culture to all the IPEC actors and in turn a restructuring should be carried out within the Institute of Postgraduate and Continuing Education in order to improve administrative management to achieve its objectives of an efficient and effective way. It is for this reason that the IPEC authorities are recommended to implement and disseminate the strategic plan since it will allow the goals and objectives of the Institute to be met
