Plan de interpretación del patrimonio para la comunidad Palictahua.

Abstract

Palictahua community has varied climates and a great wealth of heritage, but its inhabitants are losing their cultural identit due to the lack of appreciation of ancestral knowledge and how to transmit it to new generations; therefore, the objective of this study was to design a heritage interpretation plan for the Palictahua community located in El Altar village, Penipe canton, Chimborazo province. The methodology used bibliographic and field research at an exploratory, analytical, descriptive, and prospective level, in which the tourist and interpretive potential of the community were determined through the registration of cultural heritage and its situational diagnosis, the audience was characterized for the structuring of the plan and the philosophical and strategic framework. It was determined that the community has 12 cultural heritages of which 8 are immovable cultural assets (91% IPI) and 4 belong to intangible cultural assets (80% IPI), three programs were developed for the conservation of cultural heritage, the execution of interpretive services and interpretive planning, for values of $47,367.58, $15,560.28, and $18,420.65, respectively. It is concluded that the community has cultural heritages with interpretive potential for national and international tourism that, if properly applied, will promote cultural awareness among residents and visitors.
