Desarrollo de un portal web para el manejo y registro de la información en la institución educativa Adolfo Kolping utilizando la metodología Scrumban.

Abstract

The objective of the current curriculum integration work was to develop a web portal for the registration and management of information in the Unidad Educativa Adolfo Kolping of the parish Yaruquíes from the city of Riobamba. The process carried out in the institution was determined for the dissemination of information through an interview with the Vice Chancellor of the institution, and we also worked with the Vice Chancellor on the requirements and design of the application. We utilized the agile methodology Scrumban for the development of the web portal, which is a combination of the Scrum and Kanban methodologies. This methodology allowed to management of the project in a fast and efficient way. The tools utilized for the development were: PHP v. 7.4 language programming along with framework Laravel v8. We implemented a data base for the data storage using the MySql database manager and we utilized Visual Studio Code as integrated development environment (IDE) of programming. After completing the product with the required functionalities, we proceeded to verify the level of quality of the application based on three metrics: usability according to ISO 9241- 11, the availability of information based on the ISO 27001 standard and performance efficiency in terms of time behavior established for ISO 25010. As a result, the alternative hypothesis which mentions that: the time to modify the content of the news generated in the institution using the web portal is different from the time in which the information is manually generated. Thus, the communication and distribution of the information is improved in the educational institution.
