Plan de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la comunidad Kichwa San Francisco de Chucapi, cantón Carlos Julio Arosemena Tola, provincia de Napo.

Abstract

This study develops the elaboration of a Safeguarding Plan for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Kichwa nationality, San Francisco de Alto Chucapi community, Carlos Julio Arosemena Tola canton, Napo province, contributing with a management instrument that allows the valuation, safeguarding, protection, revitalization, and transmission of their cultural events. It began with the registration of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), which consists of three stages: first the socialization of the proposal with the leaders and members of the community, second the survey and registration of the ICH of the Kichwa nationality through the registration form of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage of Ecuador (INPC), obtaining a total of 24 events distributed within the 6 areas of the INPC and third the diagnosis of the state of vulnerability of the manifestations in which their state of risk is determined through the analysis of a matrix with indicators: transmission, representation or meaning, relationship with another events and appropriation or belonging, where it is obtained that 42% of the cultural manifestations are in a current state, 29% in a vulnerable state and 29% in a highly vulnerable state. Subsequently, the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats (SWOT) within the territory involved in the PCI were analyzed, leading to the identification of critical nodes and key success factors, thus allowing the formulation of strategic objectives and strategies that serve as the basis for the plan formulation. To sum, the actions necessary for the continuity and strengthening of the cultural identity of the Kichwa inhabitants of the San Francisco del Alto Chucapi community are established and developed in 3 programs and 8 projects based on the Safeguard Plan developed.
