Propuesta de mejora del sistema de parqueaderos tarifados del cantón Baños de Agua Santa

Abstract

The objective of this study was to propose the improvement of the payable parking system in Baños de Agua Santa canton. To develop the study, a mixed research approach was applied, as well as a field, bibliographic, documentary, descriptive and exploratory level of research. The research is supported by the information collected through tools such as interviews, observation sheets, vehicle capacity and surveys which led to the analysis of the operation system and its compliance based on the Ecuadorian Technical Regulations for Accessibility of people to the physical environment – Parking INEN 2248. Once the analysis of the results was carried out, it was possible to identify that the system required strategic solutions that would improve the administrative and operational aspects in order to optimize the road traffic within the city. Therefore, it is concluded that the established solutions are focused on the benefit of the entire places and the people who work within of the system. The authorities in charge of managing the parking system in Baños de Agua Santa are recommended to evaluate the alternatives mentioned before to improve the system as this will allow optimal circulation on the urban roads, as well as the efficient management of the system and an increase in profitability.
