Estudio técnico para la determinación de la tarifa en el transporte público intraprovincial entre Riobamba–Guamote

Abstract

The objective of the present final research is a technical study in order to determinate the fares in the intraprovincial public transport, between Riobamba-Guamote, with the fundamental purpose of defining the operational costs and their revenues for an ideal rate, which benefits both transporters and users of public transportation. The study was conducted based on the information provided by each of the members from “Cooperativa de Transporte Guamote”, who chose to contribute with all the necessary information in the preparation of this topic, also it was applied the methodology of the National Transit Agency, which establishes the calculation of fare in the public transport. In order to determinate the population of this study participated the 33 partners who own the operator. All the information was obtained through interviews, registration forms, operational expense forms, and kilometer forms, through this research an ideal fee was determined for the service provided to their users, a rate of $ 0.62 cents was established between Riobamba- Colta, $ 0.75 cents between Riobamba-Laguna de Colta, $ 0.93 cents between Riobamba-Columbe and $ 1.24 between Riobamba Guamote, holding a profit of $ 781.42. It is recommended for further studies to determine rates to consider certain parameters such as: automotive park, route operational, input yields, frequency of changes, cost structuring.
