Abstract

The Design of the Integral Plan of Institutional Risk Management for the School of Systems Engineering, of the Faculty of Computing and Electronics of the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, in order to prevent and mitigate the risks that may arise in school and cause damage to human talent, students and visitors, besides safeguarding the infrastructure, equipment and resources, under national and international regulations. The format of the Risk Management Secretary (RMS) was used to perform the Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP), which consist of five phases, where the institutional diagnosis and risk analysis are carried out, the guidelines for risk reduction, emergency management, recovery of the institution and its programming, validation, monitoring and subsequent evaluation of the same. The collection of information and analysis was done through cards, matrices, plans by the application of methods and regulations to achieve the means and procedures of recovery, along with the actions of what to do before, during and after an emergency. When carrying out a preliminary view of the institution, it was found that it did not have evacuation or risk signs, which generated the need to be implemented under the NTE INEN - ISO 3864-1:20013 standards, it did not have fire-fighting resources, which proceeded to implement fire extinguishers under the NFPA 10 standards, as well as an emergency alarm system. Emergency brigade members were trained. It is proposed to perform the continuous improvement and update of the Integrated Risk Management Plan every year, since it was reviewed and approved by the Risk Management Secretary on the basis of the current situation presented by the school of engineering in systems.
