Evaluación de dos lixiviados y cuatro sustratos en la producción de Gmelina arbórea (Melina) en el vivero municipal de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas.

Abstract

The present investigation is proposed to evaluate two leaches and four substrates in the production of Gmelina arborea (meline ) in the municipal glasshouse of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas ; for this, an experimental design with at random blocks and 20 treatments from 1 to 16 was applied ; the work was carried out with two subsamples and from 17 on without subsamples; each of them with 4 replications giving a total of 192 experimental units. Height, neck diameter and leaf number data were recorded after chopping at 15,30,45 and 60 days for the height , diameter and leaf number . It was found that the best substrate was 4 ( 80% black soil + cacao fallen leaves ) presenting a survival percentage of 67.5 % , a mean for the height variable at 60 days after chopping of 9.43 cm for the neck diameter 0.18 mm and for the leaf number of 4.76 . From the results it was determined that the treatments providing a major initial development were the treatments containing the S4 (T4 ; T8; T12; T16; T20). Substrate 1 presented the lowest results as to the stem diameter, leaf number and plant height parameters. It is concluded that the most effective treatments for the meline were treatments T16; T12 and T8.
