Estudio de factibilidad para la apertura de una agencia de la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Ambato Ltda., en el cantón San Pedro de Pelileo de la provincia de Tungurahua

Abstract

This research work is a study of feasibility for the opening of a branch of the Loan or Credit Union “Ambato Ltda.”, in the Canton San Pedro de Pelileo – Tungurahua Province, has the purpose to extend the coverage in the market by offering financial products and services which motivate the development through the promotion of new productive opportunities. It was carried out a market study analyzing the behaviour of the demand and supply, 384 surveys were applied to the population of the canton identifying the existence of unmet demand; based on this, the following marketing strategies are proposed to position and increase the competitiveness levels of the brand in order to attract potential members from the local community. The financial study disclosed the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement projected until 2021; also, an evaluation of economic feasibility for the investment project was made by applying the Net Present Value method (NPV) projecting $ 111.596,75 and the Internal Rate of Return method (IRR) in 31,08%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the project is feasible and it is recommended the implementation of this proposal. Finally, it was carried out an analysis of the social impact which has an objective to improve the standards of living of the inhabitants from the rural area as well as in those zones of nfluence where it is pretended to boost the rural sector at short- and long term.
