Desarrollo e implementación del sistema REARC perteneciente a CIMOGSYS, para la evaluación y apoyo a la redacción científica.

Abstract

This research work was entitled “development and implementation of supporting web to the scientific drafting system”, implemented at Superior Polytechnic of Chimborazo, by means of Jquery technology which let to apply JavaScript either by the client and the server. The chat implementation was done by using the Application Programming Interface (API) of Pusher to the asynchronous communication and real time notifications. For information storage, the data management system MySql was used. This project was developed using the agile methodology of software SCRUM, allowing the client to be aware of the system development progress, including the customer itself as part of the development team, in order to get information about the system status. The system achieved all the usability sub characteristics defined in the ISO/IEC 9126 Norm, in 89, 75%. The interaction between researchers and tutors was improved in 67% by using the chat. In the end the system was able to satisfy all the requirements defined at the preliminary analysis phase, fulfilling all the planning stated by the Product Backlog and making the system to work perfectly. As recommendation it is necessary to improve the chat module both in appearance as in functionality, and the notifications module as well.
