Automatización del proceso de titulación de las unidades académicas de la Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo utilizando firmas digitales

Abstract

The objective of this degree work is to reduce the time in the generation of information by automating the degree process of the Academic Units of Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo by using of digital signatures. Through surveys and interviews with authorities, teachers and students of the School of Electronics and Computer Science the times of these processes are determined and then the Management System of the Certification Works is developed, applying the SCRUM methodology and the certifying entity of public keys EJBCA is implanted that issue .p12 certificates. Through direct observation the new times were measured. A descriptive statistic is used to analyze the data that has an average of 19.16 hours before and 0.002 hours that the software system uses. Applying inferential statistics, with a 95% certainty and a margin of error of 5%, it is concluded that the computer system positively influenced the time of the processes by 99.99%. It is recommended once the institution enables its processes with the philosophy of zero papers and standardized management of workflow, being used as a certifying entity in the Central Bank of Ecuador to give national validity to their digitally signed documents.
