Diseño e implementación de un modelo de cursos virtuales, MOOCS para fortalecer la vinculación de la ESPOCH.

Abstract

The main objective of the project was the design and implementation of a model of a Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) type course to strengthen the link of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo. For which the necessary techniques and tools for its development were selected, in addition to the verification and validation of the software that was made. The project was developed on the NetBeans platform through the use of the Yii framework, the PHP language and Java Script for system coding. Based on the SCRUM methodology, the application was developed using the model-view-controller (MVC) architecture. , MySQL was used for the implementation of the database through its administration in phpmyadmin, besides of being governed by the UNE 66181 standard for its validation and verification, also complying with the client's requirements, it should be noted that the Code-1 Style Guide (PSR-1) standard for coding was used. The feasibility for the development of the system was verified, taking into account the environmental risks, infrastructure, characteristics own of the system and the UNE 66181 standard that determines the software quality. In the development of the project, five phases were established in the creation of courses: the preliminary analysis, the teamwork integration, the design and development, the implementation of the course in the platform and promotion. A model for the creation of MOOCs courses was determined, in addition of having carried out 29 tests of successful acceptance for what was established as a valid software. It is recommended to update the system due to the speed of the technological advances and if it is necessary to add functionalities and perform maintenance, it is also advisable to review the technical manual attached to it.
