Desarrollo de un geoportal para el Instituto Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural en la ciudad de Riobamba.

Abstract

The objetive of the present graduating research work was to develop a geoportal for the National Cultural Heritage Institute of Riobamba city. Through wich, it will be posible to visualize and know the information of the heritage in an easy and dynamic way. Fort he implementation of the geoportal, it was used Generalitat Valenciana Geographical Informatio System(gvSIG) to créate the map, ArcGIS Online map server, the AppServer application server, MySQL for the design of the Database, the development environment Netbeans, the programming language Hypertext Preprocessor PHP. The geoportal was developed with the SCRUM methodology, through the planning stages in wich it was posible to define the requirements of the geoportal. In the development phase, the geoportal was implemented with the tools wich were indicated previously and the final phase in which the users were trained. With the use of the geoportal it was possible to improve the capacity of response in the location of the heritages, in this way allowing the data input with its characteristics and generating a technical file. There were performed tests of functionality and usability through the metrics defined by ISO 9126-3 where it was obtained 92,55% of functionality and 93,10% of usability. It was concluded that this geoportal has allowed to improve the location of the heritages in a fast and efficient way. It is recommended to have the knowledge for the updating of the technical files of the heritage so that the information can be sheltered permanently.
