Propuesta de Sistema de Transporte Modalidad Monociclo Eléctrico en la Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The objective of the present research is to propose a modality of electric unicycle transportation system at the Superior Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, due to people are moved around the campus in order to do a series of activities of their interest such as working, studying, going shopping and visiting friends. This moving can be done by walking or using a motor vehicle (busses, automobiles, and motorcycles. This move is reflected by the consumption of space, time, energy and financial resources, bringing in that way, negative consequences such as accidents, pollution, and vehicular traffic, they are the reason of worrying, therefore the automotive industry has motivated the development of new prototype design based on clean energy like alternative transportation. As a solution of this vehicular traffic problem and environmental contamination it is suggested the usage of an electric unicycle like an alternative transportation at the polytechnic school, exploring the campus in order to gather quantitative type information, taking into account a better move, aspects related to transportation, destination-origin time, decreasing the accident rate in the traffic, having a customized service of urban transportation, helping to decongest the traffic the main gates of the ESPOCH´s, thanks to the design of the road infrastructure for the electric unicycle, motivating a better urban aspect, giving an innovative and technological contribution to the polytechnic community, promoting in this way the usage of the routes inside the Institution to guarantee the security of the users that use non-motorized means of transportation.
