Abstract

The research work Structure and Organizational Design of the Drinking Water Management Board, La Unión, in La Union parish of Quininde canton during the year 2017, was carried out with the purpose of creating the organizational and administrative structure of the entity. The methodology applied was fieldwork, through a survey applied to the users of the parish and another one to the managements of the drinking water management board to know their criteria and knowledge about the organization of the company. The results allowed knowing the lack of an organizational and administrative structure, the managers do not know of strategic planning to guide the institution towards institutional improvement, in the same way there are no manuals of function for employees so that they are aware of where their functions start and where their functions end up and fundamentally there is not an internal regulation. The proposal was developed, which one was the Organizational Design of the Company where the mission, vision, process map, manual of functions are detailed. It is recommended the implementation of this research work since it is important to keep organized administratively La Union Drinking Water Management Board.
