Diseño de un plan de desarrollo turístico para la parroquia San Carlos, cantón Joya de los Sachas, provincia de Orellana

Abstract

The aim of this study is to elaborate a Tourism Development Plan for San Carlos community, Sachas village in Orellana provience. This plan was carried out througth the review, analysis and systematizacion and sources of secundary information, information compiled by means of participatory workshops and field trips, in terms of tourist diagnosis, tourist infrastructure, as well as tourist plant and tourist superstructure. The inventory of tourist attraction identifies 7 natural attraction according to the methodology of Ministerio de Turismo (MINTUR) 2005. On one hand, these natural attractions are named in hierarchy I and II. On the other hand, 10 cultural attractions are identified in wich the sensitivity to change is in the middle level. From the market study, the profile of tourists willing to visit this community and the activities of preference were determined. Therefore, within the philosophical and strategic approach of the Tourism Development Plan is defined mission, visión, policies, goals and values. In the structure of programs and projects is development the analysis of problems, analysis of objectives, analysis of stakeholders ans analysis of alternatives, wich contributed to the structure of programs and projects. In consequence, five programs and eight projects were proposed to estrengthen tourism development in San Carlos community. Finally, the multi-year budget implementation plan requires a reference investment of US $ 4,969,950.00 in order to implement the plans and projects.
