Diseño de una ruta gastronómica para fomentar el turismo en el cantón Tena, provincia de Napo

Abstract

This research proposes: designing a gastronomic route to promote tourism in Tena canton, Napo province. The analysis of the tourist potential of the territory, the tourist system, the traditional gastronomic resources, the characterization of the demand allowed to establish a great welcome to gastronomic, community and adventure tourism by national and foreign tourism. The SWOT (STRENGTH, WEAKNESS, OPPORTUNITY AND THREATS) analysis led to the identification, prioritization of critical junctions and the key success factors. The technical study of the gastronomic route allowed to establish, and design 2 tourist packages that take advantage of the gastronomic resource, the natural and cultural attractions. Additionally, the promotion and marketing strategies that will position the gastronomic route on the market. In the legal study was made the creation of a mixed economy company and its respective constitution requirements, in addition, in the administrative study is carried out a functional organigram, a flowchart of processes, and investment requirements by the areas that make up the project of gastronomic tourism. Besides, the economic and financial study allowed to establish that the investment in the route will be of $ 663,831.53 with a Net Present Value (NPV) of $141,403.11, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 7.08% and the cost - benefit of $ 1.21, that is to say that for every dollar invested will generate a $ 0.21 of profit.
