Diseño y planificación de una red inalámbrica de banda ancha que permita proveer servicio de triple play para la ciudad de Guaranda.

Abstract

The purpose of the current graduation work was to design and plan a Wireless broadband that allows providing triple play service in the city of Guaranda, for this, it was necessary to carry out a theoretical and scientific research of WiMAX, LTE and Wi-Fi networks. In addition, the existing technologies fulfilling the necessary parameters and characteristics were analyzed to offer broadband services as well as providing the triple play services in an optimal way. According to the analysis carried out, it was determined that WiMAX wireless network meets the required parameters, this allows implementing the design and the planning of the network. Then, the appropriate equipment containing wireless characteristics was selected, this permitted to implement the services previously mentioned. The Radio Mobile planning software was used to make radio trunking simulations in order to obtain profiles and calculations with very low error rate. Therefore, the right performance of links and coverages are approximate to real values to offer feasible results that were exported to Google Earth, they contain maps and appropriate topography for network architecture; in this way, it was possible to visualize the results in 3D. After making the corresponding analysis it was concluded that WiMAX network is flexible, scalable, viable and admissible to provide triple play (voice, video and data) service, thus it is recommended to implement this network due to its large bandwidth and safety.
