Diseño de un sistema de rutas de aviturismo para el cantón Arajuno de la provincia de Pastaza

Abstract

The present investigation proposes the Design of an avitourism Routes System to the Arajuno canton from Pastaza province with the use of application and experimental methods using techniques of bibliographic revision and field investigation. The evaluation of the touristic potential was carried out. A high avituristic potential from Arajuno canton was identified in the market study, with 97% acceptance of the national tourist and 98% of acceptance by the foreign tourist. The current situation of the natural and cultural attractions, profile of the tourist, activities, infrastructure, plant and potential tourist demand that would be willing to carry out activities related to bird watching were analyzed to the design of the routes. 298 species could be inventoried which corresponding to 48 families grouped into 17 orders in the commented ornithological study. They were recorded by means of counting points and linear transects; the diversity studies allowed identifying a high avifauna potential to the realization of this Route System. This allows the route system to become interesting areas for birdwatching, and through the evaluation of tourist establishments, the needs and requirements were established through the implementation of a signaling system to the route system. Finally, in the realization of the evaluation and hierarchy, the avitourism route system reached hierarchy IV it means that it is touristic potential for the development of birdwatching, so it is recommended to make strategic alliances with public or private organizations or NGOs to the development of the communities from Arajuno canton.
