Diseño de un sistema de gestión de seguridad en base a normas OHSAS 18001:2007 en la Empresa Textil Fabitex de la Ciudad de Ambato.

Abstract

The research objective is design a safety and health management system in the textile Company FABITEX in Ambato city, beginning with an analysis of current situation of safety and health occupational; and identification and evaluation of occupational risk. To identify occupational risks, a multiple matrix was applied based on INSHT (Instituto Nacional de Seguridad e Higiene en el Trabajo), and for its respective evaluation of mechanical risks technical token were applied with quantitative methodology of NTP 330, for the noise risk it was used a sonometer and a quantitative evaluation based on Decree 2393, to evaluate ergonomic risks were applied the REBA method in the platform ergonauts form Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and for evaluating the fire risk factor MESERI methodology was recommended by the fire department of Quito. For the diagnosis of the security management system, a statistically validated survey was developed. The result of the diagnosis in valuation criteria is deficient, indicating a lack of documentation; plans, programs and implementation of an adequate safety system for the Company. Therefore, the proposed documentation was elaborated, being the most relevant the internal safety regulations and the emergency and contingency plan elaborated based on OHSAS 18001:2007 standards and with legal requirements. It is recommended to implement the health and safety management system with responsibility of the management and to provide the economic and human resource to guarantee the wellness and health of all people who are part of the textile Company FABITEX.
