Características antropométricas, bioquímicas y de ingesta alimentaria en pacientes del Club de Diabéticos del Hospital Provincial IESS Machala 2012.

Abstract

The objective of this work was identifying the Anthropometric, Biochemical and Alimentary Ingestion characteristics in Patients of the Diabetics Club of the Hospital Provincial IESS de Machala. For this there types of questionnaires were carried out, the anthropometric, biochemical and alimentary ones in which different characteristics were identified which permitted to evaluate the control level of Diabetes Mellitus. Through the use of statistical methods the percentages of the main characteristics were known of which there is a statistical significant relationship as to the nutritional and age valuation, the relationship between nutritional valuation and age, the relationship between the nutritional valuation to sex, glucose, total cholesterol and triglycerides were not statistical significant. The identification of the anthropometric, biochemical and alimentary ingestion in patients of the Diabetics Club permits to improve life styles, carry out an adequate control and sequence of biochemical exams as well as accomplish a diet related to this type of pathology. This is why it is recommended to carry out this type of work on other type of pathologies which can be compared among themselves ad give patterns to help enrich our knowledge.
