Abstract

The research was aimed at the creation of a website of tourist-artisanal information of de urban and rural parishes of the canton Riobamba. Statistical data collected showed that the master craftsmen have little documentary information and do not have a diffusion platform in which they can manage and display their products appropriately according to the new world that demands fast technology and high reach like the web. The function of the site is to provide precise and accurate information to tourists and costumers of the products where they can obtain type of handicraft, location, routes and events that will be the bond of tourist attraction. This website is designed in Content Management Systems (CMS) which is defined as a web platform that includes publishing features and content management that are easy to use and usability for the user, developed under rules and design tools that allow a general acceptance of 100% usability and navigation on the site by the users. The data provided by the research on the function and management of the site are favorable to the web design which agrees with the analysis of effectiveness and the consequent approval of the site by 94%. The website fulfills the purpose on the research, promotes and increase promotion of the artisan products of the canton Riobamba through the attributes of navigation and usability. It is recommended further interest and strengthening through the implementation of diffusion platforms of products for the artisanal sector.
