Elaboración del manual de prevención de riesgos laborales en la fábrica Metalmecánica Tabacundo FMT.

Abstract

The “Preparation of the Manual of Prevention of Occupational Risks in the Tabacundo Metalworking Factory FMT” of Pichincha´s GAD and it aims to provide a simple and useful tool, to minimize and prevent any accident or labor incident that can occur in the workplace; and, in addition, it describes the norms that should be implemented for its prevention and control. The study phase consists of doing the initial diagnosis of the facilities and processes that are carried out in factory, developing the process diagrams where the stages of development of each activity are determined; Then the risk identification and risk assessment is performed through the matrix of the Ministry of Labor Relations, where the degree of risk danger is estimated as low, medium, high, critical; to proceed with preventive management. With the identification of the risks, it was possible to determine the levels of danger, obtaining 3% and 25% as critical and high respectively; which are the arguments for the development of the Manual of Prevention of Occupational Risks of: use of manual machines and tools, welding processes, maintenance work, use of personal protection equipment, handling of loads, handling and storage of chemical products; Work at high altitude, major hazards and accidents or incidents. With the “Elaboration of Manual of Prevention of Occupational Risks” it is concluded that the processes that are carried out have a high level of probability of risks of accidents or incidents, therefore with each of one of the procedures developed it is intended to raise awareness and instruct workers about dangers to which they are exposed daily in their jobs; for which we recommend the immediate implementation of this document, seeking to minimize risks, generating an environment of well-being and work comfort.
