Actualización del estudio técnico conforme a la nueva normativa existente para determinar la necesidad de transporte modalidad taxi convencional del cantón Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo, período 2016

Abstract

The updating of the technical study according to the new regulation, seeks to determine the necessity of transport in the modality of conventional taxi in Riobamba canton, Chimborazo Province, period 2016. In order to carry out this study, it is necessary to get enough awareness about the current situation of the transport system by means of the supply and demand existing up to now; in order to verify if an increase of quotas is necessary by evaluating the impact caused in the vehicular congestion. The development of this research has its basis en the article 30.5 sub-paragraph c of the Organic Law of Terrestrial Transport, Transit and Road Safety laws and regulations in force. It is proposed to avoid increasing the current offer of comercial transport by conventional taxi because there is an oversupply of this type of service in Riobamba canton. Another recommendation to consider; is to conduct a new transit study in a period of 5 years, or when it becomes necessary by considering all the parameters to determine if an increase of quota during the period of study is requiered, which has to be in accordance to the in forcé regulation considering the vehicular impacto n the vehicular traffic.
