Elaboración y aplicación de un manual de higiene y seguridad industrial para la empresa pública municipal Tierras Altas

Abstract

In the Municipal Public Company in processing and marketing of products “Tierras Altas”, of canton Colta, the development and implementation of hygiene and industrial safety manual are carried out. Being the application of two-stage evaluation (before and after), the experimental results were subjected to a test of hypothesis for binomial variables chi-square (x2). The results demonstrate that physical risks are not recorded significant changes for lighting and electrical system, while for the noise recorded highly significant differences, this was achieved by proper location of equipment and provision of EPPS. The chemical risk could be reduced through the application of a cleaning system for floors, walls, equipment and utensils. Ergonomic and psychosocial risks were reduced by safe working practices and training. By applying hygiene and industrial safety manual applied a proper management system of waste from each process. The development and implementation of MHSI were undertaken in compliance with national regulations regarding industrial safety and occupational health. It recommended the verification of compliance with the provisions of this manual through records to constantly assess the main risks and take appropriate corrective action
