Estrategias de sostenibilidad para la actividad turística en la Reserva de Producción Fauna de Chimborazo, como medida de adaptación al cambio climático.

Abstract

The proposal of this work was to determine strategies for tourist sustainability activity in Reserve of Fauna Production in Chimborazo (RPFCH) as a measure of climate change adaptation by facilitating an analysis of data and the definition of sustainability strategies for acting in the socioeconomic and political system of the Reserve and its communities through a descriptive research, wich allowed the characterization of some economic, environmental, social and tourism factors, wich in turn served to establish the structure and behavior towards the process of climate change. As a result, the impact of the climate change on tourism was theorized and analyzed in Reserve of Fauna Production in Chimborazo (RPFCH), also components of sustainable tourism in the Reserve of Fauna Production in Chimborazo (RPFCH) were determined. It is concluded that climate change is an undeniable fact, but controllable with the unification of efforts of the sectors involved to monitor relevant activities such as tourism and the implementation protection strategies, so it is recommended to train people, reallocation of budgets and the creation of a system of comprehensive indicators and concrete efforts at the local and provincial, cantonal and parochial governments, non-governmenmental organizations, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Turism, among others, to promote precesses of adaptation to climate change, that is, by the responsibility everybody should assume regarding the allocation of resources they can assing.
