Estrategia de intervención sobre salud sexual y reproductiva en adolescentes de la Unidad Educativa Ciudad del Tena octubre 2015 abril 2016.

Abstract

This research project consisted on the development of an intervention strategy on sexual and reproductive health in teenagers of Unidad Educativa Ciudad de Tena, in the period October 2015 to April 2016. An observational, correlational and transversal study was made. The information was collected through a survey and validated by 5 experts through Moriyama criteria. The sample consisted of 73 teenagers who met the inclusion criteria. In the study predominated teenagers aged 17 to 19 years 58.9%, males with 57.5%, schooling second year baccalaureate, with 39.7% and who received knowledge on the subject by the Teachers 34.2%. They presented knowledge about sexual and reproductive health in the group of 17 to 19 years old with 46.4% predominantly males with 45.2% and second year of high school with 32.9%. In addition to 76.7% of teenagers with inadequate knowledge, 32.9% received information from teachers, 71.2% had inadequate knowledge about pregnancy complications and 5.5% had adequate knowledge. It was concluded that there was a weak and very weak relationship between knowledge about sexual and reproductive health and some sociodemographic variables. Therefore, a strategy of educational intervention on sexual and reproductive health in teenagers of Unidad Educativa Ciudad Tena. It is recommended to implement the strategy of educational intervention and strengthen the actions of prevention and health promotion.
