Investigación de la pintura corporal shuar y su significado, para la creación de un manual y sus aplicaciones gráficas.

Abstract

The aim was to investigate the shuar body paint and its significance for the development of a manual with graphic applications, due to the lack of knowledge of this culture and the meaning of their body designs, after the literatura review, interviews with experts and native Shuar identified that the culture is losing its identify and adopting idioms from other cultures, this allowed to generate a manual which will show the meaning of Shuar body desings and generate new desings base on these for future applications. The production of the manual began with the investigation of the meanings of their designs, knowing that for them, the painting can identify the hierarchy they have within their commune, followed it, abstraction thereof, through a process of vectorization made in Adobe Illustrator software, which can generate desings for any format whether print or digital, the most relevant designs were chosen for creating new compositions and finally the implementation of a manual containing, colors, patterns, proportions and the design process to follow for its implementation, with a meaning based on their culture. It is concluded that there should be more reseach on this subject, to strengthen the identity of the Shuar culture and spread it to the world. It is recommended apply these designs from Shuar culture in any media whether digital or print to publicize the cultures of our country, following the methodology of the manual.
