Diseño y construcción de una máquina peladora de soya para la panificadora Sal y Dulce.

Abstract

This research work has been motivated from the need of a soybean peeling machine that Bakery “Sal & Dulce” has. This work is, therefore, the design and construction of a peeling machine for dry soybeans. The bakery is located in the city of Riobamba. The method Pahl and Beitz has been considered to make the machine design and build it after analyzing the criteria of the main functions it can have at the entrance and exit of the peeled product. Afterwards, the elements that the equipment has are selected by using a morphological diagram. With the purpose of improving the productive matrix of this country, a general perspective of the equipment that is in the market is presented. This way, a clear idea of the main objective could be reached and even improved. After determining the construction of the machine and its capacity to peel, the properties of the soybeans are measured. For a total of 200 beans, the bean length, width and thickness should be considered. With the data ready, the necessary potency is calculated. It should be able to turn the lower stone which husks the seeds considering the cycloidal path generated from the moment the beans hit the center until their exit through the external borders. This is done by the tangential and radial forces. Considering the speed of the seeds exit through the external borders, the air flow rate that the centrifugal fan emits is analyzed to expel the waste outside. Finally, the different parts of the equipment are built with its respective measures and mechanical tolerances. The price difference is about 30 % less than the imported machines.
