Plan de desarrollo turístico para el cantón Aguarico, provincia de Orellana

Abstract

This research aims to: develop a tourism develoment plan for Aguarico city in Orellana province; to assess the tourist potential of the territory, the diagnosis was identified using proved informaction of the sector related to the areas: physical – spatial, ecological – territorial, socio – cultural, political – administrative, and economic – productive, the inventory of natural and cultural tourist attractions, infrastructure, plant and superstructure. The inventory identifies 13 of natural character corresponding to the hierarchy I, II and III, 7 of cultural character without hierarchy; the study of demand determines the profile of the tourist and modalities of tourism possible to develop. The philosophical and strategic approach to the plan was carried out through participatory workshops based on the problematic, It was done: the mission, vision, values, strategic objectives, policies; elements that indicate the means to follow for the fulfillment of tourism development. Three programs and eleven sustainable projects with a five-year projection were determined, with an investment of $ 2,489,340.00 for execution. It is concluded that Aguarico canton has natural and cultural heritage, being withing it part of Yasuni National Park and Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, this plan is a guide tool that let to have as a result economic benefits from people of the canton helping to reach Good Living, Aguarico could become a competitive tourist destination within the province and the country; so the implementation of the plan is recommended.
