Desarrollo de una Leyenda Ilustrada de Chambo para Niños de 7 a 10 años de las Escuelas Urbanas.

Abstract

The next research have been done to developed picture legend, this research has been creation with the objective to review the cultural identity and give to children from 7 to 10 years old who study in the urban elementary school in Chambo town located in the Chimborazo province, one reason to practice their Reading skill. To collect legend that this canton has, the researched tad implicated had implicated the analytic and hypothetic method in the bibliography, the interview face to face, then that info was reviewed, obtained 18 legends with 47 versions. Laguna de Rocón legend was selected because it had 7 versions, it was used some concepts of designing to illustrated it also, it used different software to diagram also. To valid this legend was used a focus group, whit 5 children from third to sixth of basic education from Leopoldo Freire in Chambo town, children had one book to read and review then children fill some blacks in one test with the purpose to determine the topic, characters and the legend main idea. The results were these: 75% of the children from 7 to 8 years old learn interactive with their classmates meanwhile, 80% of the children from 9 to 10 years could read because they had their good developed comprehension and attendance skill, also they were be able to develop a logical thinking. It could conclude that the oral transition of some legends had been losing because the technology or because teens do not like this kind of topics based of this research. The recommendation to the teachers who work in Leopoldo Freire School is that they could add Laguna de Rocón legend in CLUB subject to talk about the traditions and customs which people of Chambo town have.
