Niveles de Sachapalmiste en la alimentación de vacas lecheras.

Abstract

The research aimed to evaluate the effect of feeding Sachapalmiste in crossbred Brown Swiss cows in production, to increase milk production and improve weight gain. For this purpose the experimental scientific method was used, where the treatments were distributed under a completely randomized design of the experimental units, they were managed by direct grazing and supplementary diet of 3kg supplement and 100 gr salt mineral for each animal per day for 120 days of investigation. The results obtained at the end of the experiment shows that cows treated with 2 kg Sachapalmiste and 1 kg of commercial concentrate supplement, obtained the best average final weight 427,33 kg, determined increase milk production in animals treated whit this commercial supplement, registering a value of 9,15 kg cow/day. Concluding that treated cows with 2 kg of Sachapalmiste and 1 kg of commercial concentrate obtained the best results in production parameters obtaining the best growth performance resulting from content analysis of Sachapalmiste compared to the commercial concentrate. For these reasons, it is recommended the use of 2 kg of Sachapalmiste and 1 kg of commercial concentrate as feed supplement in crossbred Brown Swiss cows, as it showed good results in the evaluation of production and economic parameters.
