Abstract

The effect of heat conditioning on parameters of broiler chickens. This research was conducted in the poultry farm "Avisol" Province Chimborazo, Riobamba village. The effect of temperature on the parameters of broiler chickens on the third day of age was studied as a mechanism of stress measurement which can increase the ability of birds by some management guidelines to face the problems of heat and its impact on animal productivity. To evaluate this behavior used 400 Ross chickens one day old, divided into four trials, 100 per assay. Under a completely randomized design with four treatments related to temperature (32, 36, 37 and 38 ° C) and five replicates, in the first week of the initial phase was observed stunting in chickens that were subjected to heat stress. There were no significant differences among treatments except for food consumption. In the final phase using variance analysis, there were significant differences between the various caloric presenting the best answers, in conditioning heat 37 ° C. With this value a total weight gain (3432.40 g), feed conversion (1.96), mortality (0%), carcass weight (2234.20 g), also was registered. However birds under the effect of heat conditioning of 37 ° C. showed a benefit / cost ratio of 1.17 which is the most efficient. It is necessary to control the temperature on the third day of arrival of the chicks, recommending the use of calorie comfort of 37 ° C, in order to have good biological and economic indicators in chickens Ross line. It is also recommended to investigate the biological behavior in physiological parameters of birds subjected to caloric comfort with temperature of 37 ° C, which benefits the economic growth performance in livestock farms thus is encourage this adoption.
