Abstract

On February 24 of 2003 the mayor of the illustrious municipality of the canton Atacames gives his approval for to carry out this thesis which it is try to suggest a system of environmental Administration for liquid residuals in the camal of Atacames. To achieve this objective we beginned with the revision environmental initial by means of one which we achievement to know the aspects and impacts environmental the most significant product of the activities and processes of the camal. With the characterization of the residual water of the camal we have determined a high degree of contamination of the river Atacames. For to continue with the stages of the ISO 14001 the insoles we were used proposed by Hewitt Roberts and Gary Robinson in the work ISO 14001 Manuel EMAS of system of environmental administration, this way we intend to propose a form of the register and to document: the aspects and environmental impacts, the environmental politics, the legislation and regulation, the objectives an d goals, the environmental programs the structure and responsibility, the procedures, etc. All there documents together in a single portfolio constitute the Manual of Environmental Administration. When finish this work we conclude that the Municipality of Atacames Should that to cuild a new camal following the technical characteristics recommended as for: Location, design and construction. It also owes tecnificar and to optimize each one of the faenamient processes, it should offer the security and their employee’s labor hygiene and workers and. As high – priority commitment, it should recover the River Atacames that is strongly polluted for the activities and processes of the camal.
