Mantenimiento correctivo y aplicación de las técnicas de pintura en base de agua de la carrocería del vehículo LAND ROVER HARD TOP 1981 para el taller móvil de la Escuela de Ingeniería Automotriz

Abstract

It has made the land rover hard top 1981 vehicle body and transformed into mobile workshop automotive engineering school, this project is intended mainly to meet pedagogical demand in the automotive paint and sheet metal field and new technologies paintings. The process began with the verification of the damage caused by collisions and environmental conditions on the vehicle body by means of a visual inspection by determining the damage extent, the affected areas had to be treated with a process of cleaning and rustproofing treatment ensuring an optimal species for the paint adhesion. The mobile workshop structure was designed with the help of simulation software based on the technical standard INEN 1323 and the regulations of the FAU (University Automotive Federation). With the results of structural analysis the skeleton with a corrosion protected profile structural steel tube square 2cm wide and 2 mm thick which comply with the standards NTE INEN, and ASTM A36 steel for coating was built. After all this process of repairing bumps and shocks previous proceeded to paint it with the new technique of water-based paint. The restoration of the vehicle become mobile workshop was for the benefit of students and serving as a vehicle for mechanical assistance promoting the development of the province. It must be based on engineering criteria and implementing new painting technique friendly to the environment.
