Análisis Comparativo de Soluciones de Virtualización de Desktops (VDI) como Alternativa para Mejorar la Gestión de Escritorios de Trabajo Dentro de una Red Corporativa.

Abstract

The present work is an investigation of the most important aspects of desktop virtualization work characteristics, benefit against traditional infrastructure work desks, additionally, a comparative analysis of the two desktop virtu alization solutions (VDI ) being used, VMware View and Citrix XenDesktop two tools were chosen based on market research conducted in similar research, then built a test environment where selected solutions was evaluated by parameters such as performance ma nagement desktops, security, user experience, flexible deployment. From this comparison it was determined that the best alternative for implementation within a corporate network with Citrix XenDesktop was a difference of 8 points in total valuation to VMwa re View. With the implemented prototype was evaluated important aspects of managing front desks traditional infrastructure, the indicators defined for this analysis were: distribution of updates and patches, provisioning new desks, creating backups, reco very stations work, monitoring and control desks, work desks mobility and user support, these parameters were assessed quantitatively and qualitatively, proving that there is a 44% improvement in the management of desks to implement desktop virtualization solution (VDI) and being shown the hypothesis. Finally, a proposal of a reference guide for the implementation and management of a basic solution of desktop virtualization (VDI).
