Determinación de enfermedad diarreica aguda asociada a rotavirus, en niños menores de 5 años atendidos en el Hospital Pediátrico “Alfonso Villagómez Román” Abril- Agosto 2014.

Abstract

It was made the D etermination of the Acute Diarrheic Disease related to Rotavirus in children less than five years treated in the Pediatric Hospital Alfonso Villagomez Roman, with the aim to establish parameters of prevalence of Rotavirus, to improve the diagnosis and the treatment of children with intestinal condition. By using the I nmunochomatography technique in fecal feces was determined the presence or absence of Rotavirus in a universe of 1000 children, 228 cases were identified as positive cases of RV (Rotavirus), f rom which 83 correspond to Hospitalization and 145 of External Consultation and Emergency facing 769 negative cases of RV in feces. In the investigation was determined that one of the causes of diarrheic is the unhealthy environments that is why the child acquires the disease. In small children without paying attention to their sex, they are prone to gastrointestinal infections by microorganisms that enter through the mouth, generally. The virus is relatively resistant to the sanitizers, but is deac tivated by the chlorine: in other words the hygiene factor is preponderant for the disease prevention. It is recommended to make Rotavirus tests to patients that brings out clinic manifestation with diarrheic symptomology , exclusively to children of less than five years, on this way is prevented infectious diseases from viral concern.
