Abstract

The Rum-A-Plus effect was evaluated in crossbred Holstein cows, in four. treatments TO: control diet (forage 69%, silage 17% and concentrated 14 %% and. T1: control diet plus 189 (Rum-A-Fresh-Plus). T2 control diet plus 28g (Rum-A-Fresh Plus). T3: control diet plus 38g (Rum-A-Fresh-Plus), with five repetitions per treatment under a completely randomized design. Data were tabulated using Excel office (2010) and SPSS version 18 for the ANOVA. The nutrient referred to in each diet was TO: CP (14.69%), ENL (1.55%); T1: CP (14.77%), ENL (1.56%); T2: CP (14.68%), ENL ( 1.57%). Consumption was similar for each treatment in DM: 13.19 kg / day CP: 1942.70g / day; ENL: 20.64 Mcal / day, Calcium 85.79 g / day and Phosphorus 51.49 g / day. The best final body condition and weight gain day 3.45 ± 0.12 points and 201.11 ± 70.46 g / day respectively was obtained in T3 (p <0.01). The final quality of the milk such as protein and lactose showed 3.69 ± 0.10% and 5.2110.23% in T2 (p <0.01), however the lower incidence of somatic cells (62.76 cells / ml) (p <0.01) was obtained in T3. In conclusion, the Rum-A-Fresh-Plus is a functional nutrient in the metabolic processes of the rumen, the dose of 28 and 38g cow / day helped to improve the activity of the good bacteria necessary for the bio molecular performance and to optimize metabolic production of AGV and useful bacterial protein for the cow. Finally, the preliminary result obtained in this research will serve as an application of new technology in the nutrition of the cow.
