Manual de calidad del Laboratorio de Patrones Secundarios de la SCAN previo a la acreditación con la norma ISO 17025

Abstract

Preparation of the Quality Manual for the Secondary Standards Laboratory (LPS) of the Undersecretariat for Nuclear Control and Applications (SCAN), for accreditation under ISO 17025, Quito, Aloag parish. Inductive method has been used for observation and registration of laboratory activities, it has been possible to identify equipment, verify its condition and inventory them, using the sources J.L Shepard & Associates-T80 of Co-60, Buchler OB6/943-29 of Cs-137, it has been possible to elaborate instructions for the calibrations that are developed in the LPS, supported with equipment that they have in it, as ionization chambers, electrometers, phantoms, oscilloscopes, activimeters, among others, for a correct performance in the service offered. It is concluded that the LPS must comply with the ISO 17025 Standard, since it has the necessary technical requirements for a testing or calibration laboratory and be internationally recognized through its accreditation. When presenting the proposal of the Quality Manual, its use is recommended, it includes activities to be developed in the LPS, in addition to compliance with the Quality Management System.
