Diseño e implementación de una guía didática de educación ambiental para segundo año de bachillerato en el Colegio Nacional Salcedo

Abstract

The design and implementation of an Environmental Education Didactic Guide for the Second Year of High School was carried out at the Salcedo National School, Salcedo Canton, Cotopaxi Province. For this study, the inductive and deductive methods were applied, with tools such as observation and survey. We began with a diagnosis of the initial situation, the programmatic contents were established according to the current educational and environmental regulations, then the proposal of the Didactic Guide on Environmental Education was elaborated and finally it was implemented with students of the Second Year of High School and Teachers of Natural Sciences and Biology. As a result of the implementation of the Didactic Guide to 178 students and 8 teachers, an average acceptability of 79% was obtained from the students and 90.9% from the teachers. Likewise, 100% of the teachers and 75% of the students consider that the Didactic Guide improves the teaching-learning process of Environmental Education in the Institution. Therefore, it is concluded that the Environmental Education Didactic Guide contains updated and understandable contents, facilitates and improves the teaching-learning process, motivates and awakens interest in Environmental Education and promotes better attitudes and behaviors of young people towards environmental care. It is recommended to continue with research that seeks to improve the socio-educational reality of young people, providing adequate materials for the proper development of pedagogical models. It is also recommended to promote the use of the Didactic Guide of Environmental Education in the Second Year of High School.
