Abstract

Logistics in the field of transportation is constantly changing, it is also possible to implement new strategies that contribute to the growth of the company to improve the service provided to citizens. Knowledge is constantly evolving, which makes it possible to analyze the company's external operating environment. The main objective of the research was to develop a logistic model of operation for the heavy cargo transportation company UNIFRONTERAS INTERNACIONAL S.A. For the development it was based on a qualitative and quantitative approach, since surveys were applied to customers and partners of the company and interviews to the administrative staff of the company, as a result it was obtained that 71% of the partners know the regulations of the company, 23% of transports have suffered claims in the transfer of the product to its destination, 44% are informed of the services of the company through social networks and 30% rate the attention provided as very good. Concluding that the logistics process carried out in the company is good, but despite them there are certain findings that must be solved in order for the company to provide a better service to its customers. It is important to implement a logistics model to optimize efficient fleet management, accurate load planning and reduction of operating costs.
